Mommy-fy-d Muffins

Today's after school snack. Its a simplified recipe of store bought Pancake Batter, chocolate bar and whatever fruit I have in my kitchen ( which happens to be bananas).

Ingredients:
200 grams Pancake Batter Mix
1/2 Cup water
1 whole egg, beaten
2 Tablespoons melted butter
1/2 bar of chocolate (mine is Toblerone),chopped to resemble chips
1 fruit at hand ( bananas today) sliced thinly

Procedure:
1. Mix together Pancake Batter Mix, water, egg and melted butter, DO NOT OVER MIX. You will have a lumpy batter.
2. add chocolate bar-chips
3. put in muffin pan lined with muffin paper.
4. add sliced bananas on top
5. Turbo Broiler in 375 degrees for 25 minutes.
6. Leave it inside the Turbo Broiler for a while to firm up muffins.
Enjoy!

Everything Korean- Wang Mart

This weekend I visited my favorite Korean grocery- Wang Mart. After my usual Korean haul of Ramensari, Glass noodles and Barley tea, I notice this very interesting snack....

This product is so intimidating...The chip-like snack is as big as my face. You just couldn't hide it when snacking on the bus.
Japanese and Korean snacks are fairly healthy snacks so, I gave it a try.....

I can't say that its flavorful.....Its has A LOT of crunch. Air popped and slightly sweet in the end.

After chewing on a gigantic chip it would all end up like half a teaspoon of mush in my mouth , so I cannot say that it curbs my hunger.

But the good thing about this Korean snack is that it keeps my mouth busy. So I won't be munching on oily and salty potato chips. So...ok I'll buy it again next time.

Wang Mart is located at #37 Polaris Street, Bel-Air, Makati.

When you are driving from Makati just right turn in Andoks lechon manok in Makati Avenue and go round the rotonda and go left. You will find Wang Mart on the right side of the road.

trivia:
The WANG MART signage changes its color every 2 minutes, every night.
Visit their store at night and you'll see what I mean.

Nano Blocks! So cute!

My 8 year old son Brian just loves Lego, so its no wonder he decides to buy this cute Nano Block toy of Kinkaku-ji Temple (The Temple of Golden Pavilion, Kyoto) as his first honor's gift.

Enclosed in the box is an instruction sheet and different colored blocks all very tiny. It took him one hour to finish this temple:

So Cute! Complete with tiny trees and miniature windows! We labelled it and displayed it on top of the fridge.

We liked it so much that we went out and brought two more,

La Sagrada Familia in Spain. Built by Antoni Gaudi. And,

Mont Saint Michel (or Saint Michael's Mount built on a rocky island in France)

Now we got a piece of Japan, France and Spain on top of our fridge to look at everyday. :)
